Personality & Traits

General Overview Jas comes across as your average flyboy just looking to get his kicks off of piloting various size craft through dangerous situations and at incredibly high speeds. But behind that carefree, impulsive decision making model is a surprisingly intelligent individual who follows a usually correct “gut” impulse. Very much congenial and good natured, he’s quick to make friends; but given his seeming immaturity and impulsive action taking can also make enemies just as quickly.
Languages Trill, Federation standard
Strengths & Weaknesses + Congenial and friendly: Makes friends very quickly
- Impulsive to a fault: Makes enemies quickly but makes a decision in a flash.
+ Intelligent: Need a random fact or have a Robles to solve? Great he can help.
- Flyboy: Can come across as someone who’s only in it for the thrill.
Ambitions Jas’ ambitions are simple: teach the next generation how to properly fly. After all, his particular window for being joined has passed and being in command isn’t quite what he wants right now.
Hobbies & Interests Flying various craft from various planets from different time periods. Parrises Square. Human card games.

Personal History Jas’ love of the stars is almost a literal chicken-and-egg problem: did his love of the stars stir his love of science or did his love of science stir his love of the stars? Either way though, those two loves, filtered through the loving care of his parents, have pushed him along on his life course.

A gifted child of a mathematician with the Trill Science Academy and a medical doctor, Jas’ life was seemingly bound to involve being tied to a love of math and science like his parents. What they didn’t quite anticipate though was his love of flying that really came to bear shortly after his first trip into space with his father while traveling to a conference on Vulcan. Jas’ fate was sealed at the age of seven: he knew then he wanted to be a pilot and travel amongst the stars he loved.

What came clearer into focus was how he was going to do that: a career in Starfleet. With a natural intellect, Jas’ sailed through his schooling and even assented to his parents wishes of at least studying at the Academy before setting off for Earth and the Academy. Initially earning his first degree in Astrophysics at the Trill Science Academy, Jas applied to and was accepted to Starfleet Academy for the 2382 class.

Continuing on with his advanced studies in astrophysics, Jas also focused on becoming a pilot in order to fully realize his dream. Earning a reputation early on as a flyboy though, it became clear exactly what kind of terror had been unleashed upon Starfleet aside from the paperwork. Several near misses later, several failed attempts at the Kobayashi Maru, and a transcript of high marks, Jas graduated in 2386.

Accepting his first posting aboard the USS Caelian, Jas was initially billeted as an Astrophysicist owing to his research. However, he soon requested a transfer to Flight Control and began his climb through the ranks before being transferred to the USS Triumphant.
